The Vermont Astronomical Society is working with local libraries to bring astronomy to anyone with a library card.  VAS has packaged high quality, portable, and easy-to-use telescopes with everything a library patron would need to explore the night sky effectively.  These telescope packages can be checked out and taken home just like a book or CD.  To start viewing the night sky, patrons only need a well-balanced table on which to place the telescope.
