Sh2-205 is a large emission nebula about 3,200 light years (ly) from Earth in the constellation Camelopardalis (near the border of Perseus) and is approximately 100 ly across.
The main exciting stars, although probably not the only ones, are HD 24431 in the left section of the nebula, and HD 24094 in the right (round) main section of the nebula.
As seen in the annotation, there are at least two bright nebulae associated with Sh2-205: LBN 696 and LBN 701.
Between the three sections of Sh2-205 there appears to be at least a moderate amount of OIII gas shown in blue. This was gratifying to see since a good percentage of OIII subs had to be discarded due to poor SNR because of a 91-97% illuminated moon.
