You perhaps remember 2 years ago when all the news outlets were showing the image of the black hole at the center of M87. They now have more data (or rather more information extracted from the original data) that is showing some surprises. I've seen the new 'image' posted a few places, but here's a nice video with an astronomer putting in layman's terms about the new image and what it means.

Hey Mark, I just watched the short video, very interesting stuff. You have to give these scientists who are studying these things at such a distance a lot of credit for what they can do from so far away. That said, I suspect there is a lot we don't understand, and a lot more to learn about our universe.
