I’m posting this for one of our members, Larry Garrett. Larry caught this phenomena on Monday morning the 3rd of June at around 8am. I had just happened to see a photo of this same phenomena from someone else that same day so I knew what it is. It’s called a fallstreak hole. See the second image attached which is a page copy from Space Weather dot com and explains what this is and how it’s created. Space Weather is a great site to subscribe to as it gives solar and aurora alerts as well.
