NGC 7822 and Cederblad 214 are a starforming region in the constellation of Cepheus some 3000 lightyears away. In the center, very hot and powerfull stars are creating pillar-like structures. Open cluster Berkley 59 is a very young star cluster.
In the upper right, two old open star clusters are visible. King 11 is just outside of the Ha region, while NGC 7762 is below.
NGC 7822 covers the top of the image, as well known as SH2-171. Various bright and dark nebulas are part of this region.
The image was taken through a TEC140 scope reduced to 700 with an AP QTCC and ASI6200MM Camera with Chroma narrowband and broadband filters. The area here is around 3.5 degrees by 3.5 degrees so it required multiple frames stacked in a 2x1 mosaic. All in all I have about 20 hours in narrow band and around 3 hours in RGB between the two sets of images. I started imaging this way back in August.. finished some time in September.
I'm just getting around to processing it which caused me some issues because I had a light leak in the observatory and had to do a lot of work to make the frames usable.
I think it turned out ok.
