Penumbral (partail) Lunar Eclipse (09-17-2024)
Here's a the shot I took of the penumbral lunar eclipse (just one of dozens actually at several different exposures). Visually it looked like the Man on the Moon had a toupee. I hadn't planned to view or image it but poked my head out about bed time and thought it looked pretty nice.
Technical details: Canon T7i camera, 75-300mm zoom @ 300mm, f/8, 1/180s, ISO200. Sharpened and contrast enhanced.

Great capture Paul. I'll admit I gazed at the moon earlier in the night and it was a big orange ball on the horizon, but after that I didn't bother. Full lunar eclipses are a bit more interesting with the red coloring. But great to see you documenting this!
